She is the kind of film that inspires one to take action on behalf of the U.S.'s missing and unidentified women.
An informative, moving and powerful documentary...
"She is an absolute triumph.
...the film is a glorious portrait of its subject and her very important poetry."
“SHE” is a true crime documentary with a surprising and refreshing twist...
When we first heard about Aimée and her book Doe, we were immediately invested. These beautiful poems tell the eye-opening story of a truth that can no longer be ignored. The compassion Aimée has for missing and unidentified women is infinite, and we wanted to help share these stories the way they are meant to be shared; with the women and only the women as the focal point. All too often, stories of violence toward women are not about the women themselves, but about their abuser. The want to know who he is and why he did what he did, leaves the victim to be forgotten and victimized for a second time. We want to change that through She. We want She to be the voice of these women and we want our message to be loud and clear - no one deserves to be forgotten.
We are proud to announce that Kate Mulgew has joined the film. Kate will be an integral part of the film as our narrator. Kate is an American actress known for the roles of Captain Kathryn Janeway on Star Trek: Voyager and Galina "Red" Reznikov on Orange Is the New Black.
Raven has signed on to be the voice for Aimée Baker’s poems in She! Raven is known for her roles in Lovely & Amazing (earning her nominations from the Black Reel Awards and the Independent Spirit Award), Being Mary Jane, SMILF, Good Luck Charlie, New Girl, Glee, and many more.
Coco has graciously agreed to co-read "Here, the heart", one of tour featured poems. This unique poem necessitated two readers and Coco is a perfect choice to be featured alongside Raven Goodwin. She has appeared on the Disney Channel, Let It Shine, the Broadway stage in the BRONX TALE, Netflix's Flock of Four, and many more.

Every year, over 300,000 women go missing in the United States. There are currently over 2,600 Jane Does waiting to be identified. Even during the height of the #metoo movement, when sexual harassment and violence against women was in the news every day, the stories of these women still went untold.
She is a full-length documentary about writer Aimée Baker and her award-winning poetry collection Doe. Doe is her quest to give voice to the missing and unidentified women of the United States. Baker researched police reports, missing persons fliers, and news articles to create each poem. The fifty poems in this collection attempt to bear witness to their stories as an act of remembrance and activism.
Many films are created about murderers and serial killers, but few center the stories of the victims. She explores some of the cases in Doe giving background of the events and the women, but never mentioning the perpetrators names.
Every day that passes, another woman goes missing, another body is found. The few that make it to the top of our newsfeed, capture the nation’s attention. This film brings the same attention to some of the stories that never made it to the news. The cases in the film on their own are vastly different, covering different ages, races, and parts of the United States. This is an important story that should appeal to a wide audience.
